The Palos Verdes Estates Police Department reported the following crimes and arrests in Palos Verdes Estates for the week spanning Nov. 5-11.

Drugs

Nov. 5, 1:12 a.m.; Intersection of Via Valmonte and Palos Verdes Drive North
An officer conducted a traffic stop and arrested the driver on suspicion of possession of methamphetamine. A passenger was arrested on an outstanding misdemeanor warrant.

Nov. 6, 10:11 p.m.; 500 block of Via del Monte
An officer investigating suspicious activity arrested two people on suspicion of possession of methamphetamine.

Theft, multiple counts

Nov. 7, 3:16 a.m.; 300 block of Palos Verdes Drive West
An officer conducted a traffic stop and arrested the driver and two passengers on suspicion of vehicle theft, possession of stolen property, possession of personal identifying information, possession of drug paraphernalia and mail theft.

Suspicion of burglary and prowling

Nov. 7, 10:18 a.m.; 200 block of Rocky Point Road
Officers responding to a possible burglary in progress arrested a suspect on suspicion of burglary and prowling after the victim witnessed the individual enter her backyard to prowl, then jump a fence into a construction site.

Attempted burglary

Nov. 7, 9:25 p.m.; 2500 block of Via Pinale
Someone cut the window screen of the victim's master bedroom with an unknown tool and fled before entering.

Traffic stop

Nov. 8, 2:30 p.m.; Intersection of Via Rivera and Tyburn Road
An officer conducted a traffic stop and arrested the driver on suspicion of driving on a suspended license, intentionally defacing a vehicle identification number and receiving stolen property.

Nov. 9, 11:20 p.m.; 1500 block of Palos Verdes Drive West
An officer conducted a traffic stop and arrested the driver on suspicion of driving on a suspended license.

Assault

Nov. 8, 7:45 p.m.; 700 block of Cloyden Road
Someone showed up at a residence uninvited and shoved the victim to the ground with both hands before running away.

Drunk driver

Nov. 9, 2:15 a.m.; Intersection of Palos Verdes Drive West and Cloyden Road
An officer conducted a traffic stop and arrested the driver on suspicion of driving under the influence. A passenger was arrested on suspicion of being drunk in public.

Nov. 9, 10:33 p.m.; 2000 block of Palos Verdes Drive West
An officer conducted a traffic stop and arrested the driver on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol.

Stolen license plate

Nov. 9; 3400 block of Palos Verdes Drive North
At some point Nov. 5-7, someone stole the rear license plate from a vehicle parked in a driveway.

Annoying phone calls

Nov. 10; 2200 block of Thorley Place
Between November 2012 and November 2013, a telemarketing company has been calling the victim's residence on average five times per day. Read more.

Burglary

Nov. 10, 8:45 p.m.; 2300 block of Via Anacapa
Two unidentified men wore dark clothing entered an occupied residence through an unlocked rear door and began rifling through dresser drawers. When the victim saw them, they fled through the back door.

Nov. 11, 8:37 p.m.; 3400 block of Paseo del Campo
Someone pried the bathroom window open and ransacked the inside of the home.

Warrant arrest

Nov. 11, 9:50 p.m.; 300 block of Palos Verdes Drive West
Someone dropping off clothes to a friend in the custody of the PVEPD was arrested on an outstanding warrant.
