This program features soprano, filmmaker, and scholar Christina Linhardt and renowned pianist Bryan Pezzone, who will tell the stories behind the composers and their work as well as perform them.

The Storytellers are a visionary band that draws from the rich canon of traditional bluegrass, country blues, old time and folk music as a basis for inspired improvisations and intrepid vocal harmonies. At their shows you’ll hear covers of Appalachian standards, Grateful Dead tunes, and a whole lot of surprises, all delivered with tight harmonies and wild energy.

Andrea Centazzo has been playing with great performers like John Zorn and Steve Lacy for since the 1970s, and formed the West Coast Chamber Jazz trio with flutist Ellen Burr and bassist Jeff Schwartz in 2015. The group plays music old and new with room for inspired improvisation, and shows that the master has plenty of musical spaces yet to explore.
