PVDN, Hawthorne Intersection to Be Closed This Weekend

The intersection of Palos Verdes Drive North and Hawthorne Boulevard will be closed to through traffic this weekend as part of the ongoing bike lane project, according to a notice from the city of Rolling Hills Estates.

The intersection will be closed from 5 a.m. until noon Saturday and from 5 a.m. until 1 p.m. Sunday for road work. A flag person will be at the site to escort people who live within the affected project area to their homes.

Additionally, crews will be paving Palos Verdes Drive North from Hidden Valley Road to Moccasin Lane, which is just east of Hawthorne Boulevard from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

This is the second weekend that road work on the Palos Verdes Drive North Bike Lane Project will affect traffic. Next weekend, crews will pave the road between Moccasin Lane to Crenshaw Boulevard from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.
