Street Resurfacing to Continue in PVE

Crews will continue to repave multiple streets in Palos Verdes Estates through Friday as the city wraps up the resurfacing project, according to an alert from the Palos Verdes Estates Police Department.

Because some of the work will be on southbound Palos Verdes Drive West near Cloyden Road and Via Coronel, the contractor is coordinating with Palos Verdes High School and Palos Verdes Intermediate School to avoid traffic impacts, authorities said. (See below for the complete schedule.)

Work on Palos Verdes Drive West will begin as soon as school starts in the morning so the slurry will have time to dry before the road is reopened before afternoon dismissal on Thursday and Friday, authorities said.

Unlike last week, no detours on Palos Verdes Drive West or Palos Verdes Drive North are expected, and crews plan to keep at least one lane open in each direction on Palos Verdes Drive West throughout the week.

Once crews finish resurfacing the streets, the only work that remains will be final striping, cleanup and fixing any problem areas, authorities said.
