2 Dog Attacks Reported in PVE

The attacks occurred in the 1600 block of Via Arriba and the 2900 block of Paseo del Mar.

Two dog attacks were reported in Palos Verdes Estates in the past week and a half, according to the weekly crime report from the Palos Verdes Estates Police Department.

In the first, which occurred May 14, the victim was walking in the roadway in the 1600 block of Via Arriba when he heard the dog barking.

The dog bit the victim on the left calf; however, the man declined medical attention.

No details on the type of dog were provided.

On May 15, a woman was walking a small dog near Lunada Bay Elementary School in the 2900 block of Paseo del Mar when two leashed Saint Bernards pulled free from their walker and attacked the small dog.

The small dog suffered a puncture wound to its left hind leg and was treated by a veterinarian.
