Filing Deadlines Extended for RHE, PVLD, Special Districts

The filing deadlines for multiple elections have been extended to Wednesday.

The filing deadline for the November elections has been extended from Friday through close-of-business Wednesday for seats on the Rolling Hills Estates City Council, Palos Verdes Library District Board of Trustees, and the Ridgecrest Ranchos and Miraleste recreation and park special districts, authorities said.

The filing deadline was extended for these races because an incumbent did not file for re-election.

In Rolling Hills Estates, Councilwoman Susan Seamans is not running for re-election. So far, Britt Huff, Cat Spydell and Councilman Steve Zuckerman have their names on the ballot for the two available seats on the City Council.

Two candidates—Kay Jue of Palos Verdes Estates and Kingston Wong of Rancho Palos Verdes—have filed the necessary paperwork to run for the two available positions on the PVLD Board of Trustees. Neither candidate is an incumbent.

There are currently no candidates for the Ridgecrest Ranchos and Miraleste parks and recreation districts in Rancho Palos Verdes, which have three seats and two seats, respectively, up for election.
