Marymount to Remove Gravel Parking Lot

The gravel will be repurposed as part of the parking lot at Abalone Cove Shoreline Park.

Work will begin Tuesday to remove the temporary gravel parking lot at Marymount College in Rancho Palos Verdes, according to an email from RPV city staff.

The gravel used in the parking lot will be hauled to Abalone Cove Shoreline Park and repurposed throughout the park's existing lot, according to staff. Marymount College is paying to remove the gravel.

The site must be restored to its pre-existing condition per the temporary parking lot permit Marymount College received from the RPV City Council in August 2012. The council approved the temporary parking lot of at least 90 spaces as a temporary replacement until construction of the permanent parking lot was completed.
