Tuesday's Quick Hits: Meetings, Beautiful Sunset

Here are some things to look forward to today on the Palos Verdes Peninsula.

Happy Tuesday! Here are five things Palos Verdes residents should know today:

  1. The Palos Verdes Estates City Council meets at Palos Verdes Estates City Hall at 6:30 p.m. tonight. The agenda is available online. The Rolling Hills Estates City Council meeting was canceled.
  2. The Palos Verdes Peninsula Unified School District Board of Education will meet at 2:30 p.m. today. It will primarily be a closed session focused on the appointment of several new principals, according to the online agenda. The meeting will take place at the PVPUSD headquarters, located at 375 Via Almar in Palos Verdes Estates.
  3. The Botanic Garden Trail in Rolling Hills Estates will be closed today due to a television shoot. The production company advised residents last week that there will be simulated gunfire and explosions.
  4. Crews will continue to stripe multiple Rolling Hills roads today.
  5. Today's photo of the day is a golden shot of the sunset from the Palos Verdes Drive South outlook from Elaina Horeczko. Want to submit your own?
