Victor Merina
Victor Merina is a freelance writer/editor/lecturer who worked as a staff writer for nearly 20 years at the Los Angeles Times and has been published in the San Francisco Chronicle, the Media Studies Journal and reznet, a Web site focusing on Native issues and indigenous people. He has taught at the USC and UC Berkeley schools of journalism and has been a Fellow at the Poynter Institute for Media Studies and the Freedom Forum in New York. He is a longtime South Bay resident who has lived in Manhattan Beach, Redondo Beach and Torrance.
