The Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy (PVPLC) was founded in 1988 by a group of citizens that were concernedMore about the preservation of the undeveloped land. The Conservancy has successfully preserved 1,400 acres of the Peninsula, providing tax benefits for those who donate land. The Conservancy operates a stewardship program that works to preserve native habitats and protect native species such as the Palos Verdes blue butterfly and the California gnatcather. The PVPLC regularly holds fundraising events where all funds go to continue site improvements and habitat restoration. For more information on the programs offered, visit the Conservancy's Web site.
