One of our family treasures. My daughter, Molly, was unimpressed, however, and did a greatRead More impersonation of his "Hah, Ahm Hoowell Howser, etc." which in turn became a special memory for me. We promise ourselves to visit at least one of his special places.

Wow, Huell is so cool. So sad to hear the tragic news, he'll be greatly missed. There will never beRead More anybody as cool as Huell. I hope KCET will keep playing reruns.

Got the pleasure of meeting Huell at a UC Davis fund raiser. He was very nice and so funny. We haveRead More a picture we took with him and also he signed a t-shirt we have framed. Almost all our trips are because of him. He helped us learn and love California. RIP Huell.

I remember her and Coach Allen very fondly. There was a time back in the early 80s when Coach AllenRead More was heading a youth sports program for President Reagan. It was during off season and he and Mrs. Allen were in their home here in Palos Verdes. Coach Allen called me to ask for the use of my office to host a meeting with Reagan staffers. Both he and Mrs. Allen will be remembered. May their memory be eternal.

Folks like Ms. Vierzba are the type of people that are the life blood of schools. They are the faceRead More of the school when folks arrive either new to an area or person needing guidance about their matriculation. When a person like her passes, their is the sadness of the lost battle, but their is also the reminder of good and the good times.

"... there's one thing, I know the blues they send to greet me won't defeat me. It won't beRead More long 'till happiness steps up to greet me." My favorite Hal David lyric, I think, though it's hard to pick from so many great songs! These words have suck with me since I was a kid. :) What's your favorite Hal David lyric or song?

What matters the most is the truth of how Rebecca died. All this bitter back and forth about whoRead More behaved a certain way or who lied about a memorial is ridiculous as are the conspiracy theories. All of you should move on with your lives and just honor Rebecca's memory. It's sad to see people in their 50s and 60s acting like attention whoring teenagers! I don't know any of you but if someone I'm related to passes away and this happens, I'd call out everyone and spread equal blame to all of them!
