Point Vicente Interpretive Center is a park and historical center which presents recreational and educational opportunities to people in the Palos Verdes area. The center is 10,000 square feet, newly reopened in 2006 after renovations and has a number of exhibits which detail local history, both natural and cultural. The main focus of the Center is the Pacific Gray Whale. There is a whale watching site which allows members of the public to view the whale's annual migration. The park is equipped with picnic tables and dogs on leashes are allowed, but no barbecuing or fire of any kind is allowed.
