A high pressure system will bring temperatures into the low-80s by this weekend on the Palos Verdes Peninsula, according to the National Weather Service.

In Palos Verdes, temperatures inland in Rolling Hills Estates are expected to be in the mid-80s, while temperatures along the coast will hit the high-70s, forecasters said.

A marine layer will likely last through at least 11 a.m. daily before burning off, according to the NWS. The heat is likely to last through the Fourth of July holiday.
