PV Volunteers Participate in 9/11 Habitat Build Day

Habitat for Humanity Greater Los Angeles marks the anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks.

Members of two Palos Verdes churches joined an interfaith volunteer build day with Habitat for Humanity Greater Los Angeles as part of a day to mark the anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks.

Volunteers from Pacific Unitarian Church and Ascension Lutheran Church in Rancho Palos Verdes joined members of St. Luke's Lutheran Church of Long Beach and Trinity Lutheran Church of Hawthorne, among other religious organizations, to complete work on the Long Beach-based project.

The event, which took place from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in the 2000 block of Atlantic Avenue, also featured a short program with speakers during the lunch hour.
