Multiple roads around the Promenade on the Peninsula in Rolling Hills Estates were closed at 4 p.m. Saturday for the Peninsula Holiday Parade of Lights, according to a notice from the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department Lomita Station.

Silver Spur between Silver Arrow and Beechgate, Deep Valley Drive, Norris Center Drive, Roxcove Drive and Drybank Drive are closed to all traffic.

The only access to the mall parking structure is from Indian Peak Road.

The roads are expected to be reopened at 9 p.m.

The annual holiday parade will begin at 6 p.m. Retired RHE Councilwoman Susan Seamans is the parade's grand marshal. Sandra Sanders is the community marshal.

For those who don't want to brave the wind and cold, the parade will be broadcast on Cox Channel 3. For more information, see the RHE city website.
