Peninsula Panthers Boys JV Team Meets Tournament Host Westchester in 2nd Round.

Re-Cap of the Peninsula JV Boys Basketball Game vs. Westchester High School on 11-28-12

The Peninsula Panthers Junior Varsity Boys earned the right to face a very strong and talented Westchester High School team with a victory over Santa Monica High School on Nov. 28.

The Panthers were physically smaller than the Westchester Comets but they remained competitive and played hard through-out the contest. In the end, the superior height of the Westchester Comets spelled the end for Panthers in this contest.

Even though it was only the second game of the season, the Panthers played hard and continued to battle the much taller Westchester team.

The Panthers came out on the short end of the score, with the final tally being 62-47. The Panthers were led by Kurt Milch, who scored 15 points, and he was joined by Cameron Tong, who also contributed 15 points as well.

The Panthers are using this game as a building and learning experience in the hopes of improving their overall game. The Panthers don't get much of a break for they now play St. John Bosco of Bellflower, who again is far superior in height to the Panthers on Nov. 30.
