Runners to Tackle Trails in Saturday's 10K

The annual Hills Are Alive 10K/5K Run/Walk will begin at 8 a.m. Saturday.

The city of Rolling Hills Estates will once again host its annual Hills Are Alive 10K/5K Run/Walk at 8 a.m. on Saturday.

Though online registration closed Wednesday night, people will be able to register Saturday for $35. Entry forms are available online.

The registration fee includes a T-shirt, redesigned with a special tribute to the late Dr. John Pagliano, according to a post on the Village Runner website. Pagliano, who died in April, was a strong supporter of the race.

During the race, the trails will be closed to equestrians, according to signs posted along the Bridle Trail. (See attached image for a rough trail map.)
