The Palos Verdes Peninsula Horsemen's Association will be putting on a clinic to teach the community about ranch sorting.

In a word, contestants have to sort livestock.

"Teams have 60 to 90 seconds to sort depending on the event. The team with the most amount of cows wins," says a flier advertising the event.

The PVPHA will gather Thursday to explain the fundamentals of the sport. Then the clinic is scheduled for Saturday at the Empty Saddle Club, 39 Empty Saddle Road.
