Village Runner is proud to present the Torrance Centennial New Year's Day Run!  Set along a flat, fast course, this race will help you get the new year started off on the right foot! 

With the City of Torrance's founding in 1912, the 100th anniversary is coming up!  The city is working diligently at celebrating this momentous occasion with several events throughout the new year, beginning on January 1, 2012 and ending on October 21, 2012.  This New Year's Day race is an official Torrance Centennial event kicking off the celebration with a 5K run and community walk as well as a 10K run, perfect for the whole family!  Ring in the new year with your friends and family because this opportunity only comes once every one hundred years!

All participants will receive a Torrance Centennial Run t-shirt. There will be chip timing, age division awards and cash prizes to the top three overall male and female runners in both the 10k and the 5k.
