With the state still facing severe financial challenges, there continues to be a significant shortage of funds for athletics and physical education. This fundraiser will offset part of this shortfall. According to John Cameron, booster club co-president, “a good portion of the money raised at this event will go toward maintaining and repairing facilities used by most of Peninsula’s students, whether they take PE or play a sport. The rest will go toward other expenses required to keep the school’s outstanding athletic programs going.” Wendell Yoshida, athletic director at Peninsula High School, reports that this year over 1000 students will participate on one of the schools 60 athletic teams, covering 26 sports.

The 21st Annual A Black & Gold Affaire is panther casual and tickets are only $100 each - which includes a 3-course dinner, live and silent auctions. An online live auction, with fabulous and one-of-a-kind auction items, will be open March 12 through 19 by visiting www.PenBlackandGold.com.  Please come – enjoy a great dinner - and bid on some wonderful auction items!  For reservations call (310) 378-1888, or visit penblackandgold.com for more information and to bid on live auction items.
