Annual Las Amigas Show Canceled
The show benefiting the Orthopaedic Hospital of Los Angeles will return next year.
The annual Las Amigas de Las Lomas horse show at Ernie Howlett Park won't take place this July, according to a notice posted on its website.
The horse show, which is the organization's major fundraising event for the Orthopaedic Hospital in Los Angeles, is one of the few United States Equestrian Federation-rated events in Palos Verdes.
"This one year 'skip' of our much loved show tradition has been done to allow our organization, which is staffed by all volunteer labor, to have time to step back, analyze our history of horse show operations, and determine the best ways to go forward for a new and improved show in 2014 and beyond so that we may provide maximum benefit to the Orthopaedic Hospital/Orthopaedic Institute for Children," according to the notice.
This year's show would have been the 56th annual event.
