Albert Pujols to Host Celebrity Golf Tourney at Trump

A celebrity golf tournament hosted by Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim first baseman Albert Pujols will be held this summer at in Rancho Palos Verdes, marking the series' first time on the West Coast.

The 10th Celebrity Golf Classic will be held July 26, angels.com reported. The Pujols Family Foundation announced the event details Wednesday.

Nearly 200 golfers are expected to attend and will be split into 36 groups of five, which will each be paired with a celebrity.

Shaquille O'Neal, Bobby Knight, Mike Piazza and Bo Jackson have attended the event as celebrity guests in the past, according to the angels.com report.

"We are excited to show the people of Southern California what the Pujols Family Foundation is all about," Pujols said in a statement on the angels.com website. "This is a great day for the Foundation, and to host our event at a course like Trump National is pretty special."

Proceeds from the event will benefit the Pujols Family Foundation to assist orphans in the Dominican Republic, in addition to those with Down syndrome.
