PVPUSD Appoints New Assistant Superintendent

Trent Bahadursingh is appointed to the position of assistant superintendent of technology and support services.

The Palos Verdes Peninsula Unified School District Board of Education on Thursday appointed Trent Bahadursingh to the position of assistant superintendent of technology and support services, according to a news release from the district.

The position is a promotion for Bahadursingh, who previously served as the administrator of technology for the district, where he oversaw all administrative and instructional technology for the 19 schools and district offices.

He will continue with these responsibilities with the new position; however, he will also assume additional responsibilities related to student enrollment, assessment, student records, state reporting requirements and special projects, according to the district.

"Trent has been a valuable member of the district management team for nine years," Superintendent Walker Williams wrote in the news release. "His leadership skills will be a valuable asset to the district as we transition to the Common Core State Standards and a new state assessment system."

Prior to his tenure in PVPUSD, Bahadursingh worked for the Little Lake City School District and Hacienda La Puente Unified School District as a coordinator of technology and teacher on special assignment.
