Parents: Former PVPUSD Administrator Posted Gay Porn on Adult Video Website

Martin Griffin resigned as chief academic officer of the Palos Verdes Peninsula Unified School District on Oct. 25.

Martin Griffin, the former chief academic officer for the Palos Verdes Peninsula Unified School District, was the subject of rumors that he was a fan of gay porn and about to lose his job before his resignation last month.

An item regarding the termination of a district employee appeared on the agenda for the closed session of the Oct. 24 PVPUSD Board of Education meeting. Per California regulations on open meetings, the agenda did not identify the specific employee.

The board did not report if any action was taken on that item during the closed session; however, multiple people spoke against Griffin, who is also a bishop for the independent American Catholic Church in San Diego, during the portion of the meeting reserved for public comment.

Griffin did not attend the meeting, and he resigned the next day.

"What is is truly embarrassing, and Mr. (Walker) Williams and this board should indeed be mortified, is how in a matter of minutes by simply using Google, a parent was able to discover other revealing sides of the San Diego Padre," parent Scott Reid told the school board. "Is the district also going to rely on Xtube.com to hire its next chief academic officer?"

Reid's comments referred to a profile under the username "sucacique" previously posted on the adult video website XTube.com.

Parents found the profile by searching for "sucacique," which Griffin apparently often uses as a username online, including on various social media pages and at least one education conference website. Patch was able to independently discover this username via a variety of online searches.

The page, which belonged to a man from San Diego, is no longer publicly available; however, cached versions of the profile show many sexually explicit images of male genitalia. It's not clear whose genitalia is depicted in the photographs.

One of the three videos originally posted to the sucacique profile showed a man masturbating. His face is not shown. Nevertheless, parents told Patch they believe the man featured in the photos and videos is Griffin.

Griffin did not return a call requesting comment, and the school district did not respond to emails for more information; however, Superintendent Walker Williams told the Daily Breeze that he was aware of the allegations but could not comment on them or whether they were connected to Griffin's resignation.
