High School Pool, Baseball Clubhouse Projects on Board Agenda

The Palos Verdes Peninsula Unified School District Board tonight will weigh plans for a Palos Verdes High School baseball clubhouse and Peninsula High pool project.

is expected to come one step closer tonight to getting a baseball clubhouse at the school as the district board weighs a resolution that would OK the use of privately raised funds for the clubhouse's construction.

At its regular meeting, the Board of Education will consider giving the go-ahead to athletic supporters who want to raise money for the clubhouse.

The project would include the construction of a baseball clubhouse, in addition to lockers and storage. It would also involve the demolition of the existing snack shack and construction of a snack bar and restroom facility.

The resolution to be considered by the board tonight would include a maximum amount for the project's construction of $265,000, in addition to further agreement details between the district and Palos Verdes Sea King Baseball Capital Inc.

Board members will also discuss proposed naming opportunities for a swimming pool project at , in addition to the PV High baseball clubhouse project.
