Save Your Sanity-A Parent Workshop for College Bound Students

Parents: preserve your sanity this summer and set your college bound student up for success their 1st semester in college!  You and your child have invested a lot of time, money and energy getting them into college and in a matter of weeks, you will get them packed up and moved into their dorm room.  Get yourself and your child prepared for this transition assuring they will be self-reliant and better equipped to handle the potential hurdles of college life. In this comprehensive workshop, Kristin Borostyan a former counselor turned professional organizer, will share her insights on:

  • How to encourage independence while building skills and confidence
  • Helpful tips to help your child with organization, time management and accountability
  • What colleges are saying about the incoming freshmen
  • How you can support your student the 1st semester
  • How to discuss important matters like grades, finances, and conduct at school
  • How to prepare for the absence of a family member
  • How to enjoy this time and create valuable memories
