Chadwick Robotics Team Headed to World Championship

The local school will compete in April in Anaheim against other teams from around the world.

's robotics team will soon head to Anaheim to compete against hundreds of teams from around the world after earning a spot in the VEX World Championship, which will be held in April.

The competition will host top teams from more than 200 VEX Robotics Competition tournaments that took place in cities around the world.

Chadwick's team from April 19-21 will compete against robots representing the U.S., Canada, Brazil, New Zealand, China and Europe, among other areas.

“This has been an amazing year for Chadwick Robotics," said Trish Stevens, robotics faculty advisor, in a statement. “This is the first year that we have had a dedicated robotics lab, and a robotics engineering class at Chadwick, and I am so proud of our students who have worked so hard to get to the VEX World Championship.”

A recent win by students Zack Herbst and Howard Pyo at the High Desert League tournament at Hesperia secured a position for their school in the VEX World Championship.
