4 PVPUSD Teachers Named 'Educators of the Year'

The four teachers will be honored at the Palos Verdes Peninsula Rotary's annual Educator of the Year Awards Dinner.

Four teachers in Palos Verdes Peninsula Unified School District earned Educator of the Year awards, the district announced last week on its website.

Mindy Castillo of Silver Spur Elementary School, Allison Palmer of Rancho Vista Elementary, Campbell Nimick of Miraleste Intermediate School and Jim Whalen of Palos Verdes High School will be recognized at the 33rd annual Palos Verdes Peninsula Rotary Educator of the Year Awards Dinner.

Castillo teaches second grade, and Palmer teaches fourth grade. Nimick teaches intermediate science/technology and woodshop. Whalen teaches high school math and AVID.

The awards dinner will take place Nov. 6 at the Palos Verdes Golf Club in Palos Verdes Estates.
