It's all about connections ... As an avid lover of books & social media, I created the following high school English assignment with connections in mind.
Making connections between books and personal experience or other books read always activates background knowledge and helps bring a book to life. Meaningful personal connections are essential for learning. Without significant learning experiences we rely on rote memorization and meaningless regurgitation. A commonly used texting acronym aptly describes the situation: DGAF (I'll let you figure that one out).
