Rolling Hills Mansion on Market for $53M

"Hacienda de la Paz" features an underground tennis court, secret passageways and more, the Los Angeles Times reports.

There's more to one Rolling Hills home that meets the eye. Though the property appears to be a one-story ranch house—as is fairly standard in the gated city—the nearly 50,000-square-foot mansion has five stories underground, according to a feature in the Los Angeles Times.

The address of Hacienda de la Paz was not included in the article; however, a corporation of the same name is registered with an address of 1 Buggy Whip Drive in Rolling Hills, and sources confirmed that this is indeed the house.

The mansion is now on the market for $53 million, according to the Times. So far, the top-selling property on The Hill went for $12.9 million, broker Raju Chhabria told the newspaper.

The home features nine bedrooms, 25 bathrooms, an indoor tennis court, an indoor pool, secret passageways and a Moroccan-style Turkish bath.

According to Zillow, the property is about 7.27 acres and was last sold in 1993 for $2.05 million.
