RPV to Hold Municipal Elections in November

Two seats on the Rancho Palos Verdes City Council are up for election.

Residents of Rancho Palos Verdes will cast their votes for two members of the City Council on Nov. 5.

Neither Councilmen Bryan Campbell nor Anthony Misetich is termed out. Campbell has publicly announced his intention to seek re-election, and Misetich's campaign website indicates that he, too, will seek re-election.

The nomination period for candidates begins July 15 and closes Aug. 9, unless Campbell or Misetich declines to file nomination papers. If an incumbent does not file nomination papers by the deadline, the filing period will be extended to Aug. 14.

Candidates must be registered voters and residents of Rancho Palos Verdes.

Election manuals containing all the required paperwork will be available at the City Clerk's Office during regular offices hours. The office is open from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Friday.

To make an appointment with the city clerk to discuss becoming a candidate, call 310-544-5208.
