The same Albert Muratsuchi who told a CHRB investigator to perjure himself? Yep! "A senior investigator for the California Horse Racing Board has accused a state deputy attorney general of instructing him to “withhold evidence and lie under oath” during testimony in a lawsuit stemming from an incident at Del Mar last August. Doug Aschenbrenner, the CHRB investigator and a retired police officer and U.S. marshal, filed a complaint recently with the State Bar of California. He accused Deputy Attorney General Albert Muratsuchi of instructing him “not to remember anything at the deposition” in a lawsuit brought against CHRB steward George Slender. “Telling me not to remember things that I clearly remembered is simply an untruth; hence I was instructed by Mr. Muratsuchi to lie, under oath,” Aschenbrenner wrote in his complaint to the State Bar." The lawsuit was settled out of court in 2010. http://www.utsandiego.com/uniontrib/20060623/news_1s23horses.html

Am I surprised by Mayor Bird's endorsement? Heck, no. It's a RINO thing. If your Republican candidate doesn't win the primary you go and support the Democrat. Doesn't he know that if the Democrats take AD66 then this could give them the 2/3 majority Jerry Brown needs to pass his tax increases? Right now Gov. Moonbeam has to go to the voters to get the tax increases he needs in order not to face the real problem in the state ie. an unfriendly business climate in the state and government employee pension and benefit costs the state can no longer afford. Al Muratsuchi is a nice person but we are deciding on the candidate we want to who will bring solutions to the table to solve California's many economic problems and not someone I want to have coffee with at Starbucks. Craig Huey has the business experience to get the state out of the mess we are in. At the rate big business and the upper income are leaving the state in a few more years all we will have left are the lower income to pay all the taxes. Since Muratsuchi is on the Torrance Board of Education what is his stance on firing incompetent tenured teachers? Will he support reform to allow the firing of incompetent teachers and reduce the teachers benefit package like Scott Walker did in Wisconsin? Folks you don't need to be Werner von Braun to realize we need people with business expertise in Sacramento and Washington and not more of these career politicians like Waxman or government beaurocrats like Al Muratsuchi,

Hey Mr. Mayor - how about if I stop at the U.S. Post Office and pick you up a voter registration so you can join the Democratic Party? I am even willing to drive up the hill to deliver it to city hall. To solve this state's and country's numerous fiscal problems we need politicians who don't get their way, taking their bat and ball and going home. WAH WAH WAH

Sorry, that should read "we don't need politicians who when they don't get their way, take their bat and ball and go home".

If he ever seeks to run for re-election or for higher office he can kiss the endorsement of the CRA goodbye. We don't like RINO's. Huey wants to make California business friendly once again. You don't do that by chasing business and anyone with money out of state. If any of the 3 tax initiatives passes in Nov. you can kiss more businesses and the rich good-bye. France raced its top rate from 41% to 75% and the exodus of the millionaires looks like the running of the bulls in Spain.

His name is plastered all over AL Muratsuchi as a "Republican" supporting him. I have to say it's kind of funny they also have Gardena Mayor Paul Tanaka supporting Al, problem is he supports Craig Huey. Apparently Mayor George considers Craig too extreme. In a letter I sent him I pointed out his inconsistancy. The Democrats who run this state need one more vote to have a veto proof State Assembly. It is these same Democrats who have bankrupt this state, yet Craig Huey is too extreme. If the people of Palos Verdes don't dump this deceiver on his rear, I will be very disappointed. By the way, I agree whole heartedly with the post above. Vote NO on any tax or bond proposition.
