PVE May Cancel March Election

Two city councilmen and the city treasurer are running unopposed.

The Palos Verdes Estates City Council will soon decide whether to cancel its March municipal election, according to city staff.

No political newcomers pulled and filed papers and gathered enough legitimate signatures to qualify to challenge any of the incumbents in the upcoming election, according to Deputy City Clerk Vickie Kroneberger.

The incumbents are city councilmen James F. Goodhart and George F. Bird Jr., as well as City Treasurer Joseph C. Sherwood Jr.
