Kids Chat with Space Station Astronaut Live

The third graders are part of a NASA program and will chat live with crew on the ISS as it flies over the PV Peninsula.

Third graders at Soleado Elementary School in Rancho Palos Verdes go live via HAM radio with the International Space Station and Canadian astronaut Commander Chris Hadfield as they fly above the Palos Verdes Peninsula around at approximately 11:53 a.m. for 8 minutes.

Others can tune in via a live web stream.

The students are learning about the technology used aboard the ISS and the benefits of its research. The NASA live chat with students is part of a comprehensive suite of STEM education activities that students are participating in.

The live chat event will also be shown on the site after the communication and on RPV TV Monday evening.
