Endorsing GOP Candidates: At next months meeting (August 16), we will have an open discussion among active BCR members which of our well qualified Republican candidates the Beach Cities Republicans will endorse for the November 6th General Election. This is an important election so please attend and make your opinion known !!

Speaker: Candidate Bill Bloomfield for Congress in our
33rd Congressional District, Bill Bloomfield has lived in Southern California nearly his entire life. Bill took a job at Web Service Company and eventually became President and CEO. Bill founded another business, an Internet hosting company called Web.com, where he served as President from 1998 until 2005. Bill is a key supporter of Students First; a national education reform organization led by Michelle Rhee, former Washington, D.C. Schools' Superintendent. Bill also founded Citizens Against Lawsuit Abuse in the South Bay to fight frivolous lawsuits that cost jobs and increase costs for consumers. Most of all, he is the only chance we have of getting rid of Henry Waxman!
