Would-Be Thieves Leave in a Mercedes Benz

Rancho Palos Verdes sheriff's blotter.

Between Feb. 20 and Feb. 28, someone entered the kitchen window of a house in the 3500 block of Cool Heights Drive. Although the residents do not know if something was stolen, deputies do have a description of one of the two suspects, as they were spotted leaving the scene in a beige Mercedes Benz. The man was African-American, reportedly around 20-25 years old, between 5 foot, 5 inches and 5 feet, 8 inches, weighing 125 pounds and wearing a dark blue ski jacket. A Caucasian woman was driving. No further description was provided for her.

Between Feb. 25 and Feb. 26, a vehicle parked in the 24900 block of Stonecrest Road incurred damage to its window molding. Deputies believe it may have been an attempted burglary.

These are selected reports from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department throughout the past few weeks. No presumption of criminal guilt or affiliation should be drawn from the information provided.
