From the city of Rancho Palos Verdes:

The Lomita Sheriff's Station reports two traffic collisions on the Peninsula.

The first is at the corner of Hawthorne Boulevard and Indian Peak Road in Rancho Palos Verdes. The second is at the intersection of Palos Verdes Drive North and Rolling Hills Road in Rolling Hills Estates.

Motorists are advised to avoid both areas for the next 30 minutes and to use alternative travel routes.

I've written letters and emails and even spoke about a NEED for left turn signal lights at Rolling Hills Rd and PV Dr N. The accumulation of regular traffic, then add all those schools - that traffic and the traffic going into the gates. I see people dodging on coming traffic all the time. It will probably take a death before RHE decides to do somethiing about it. At the moment they seem more interested in building a concrete jungle and over crowding this area even more. CITY OFFICIALS REALLY NEED TO SET PRIORities. I saw the RH and PV dr N wreck yesterday about 1130. sad state when one runs the red light into oncoming traffic.
