Traffic Accident Downs Power Lines, Leaves Some Residents Without Service
This morning's multi-vehicle accident near Hawthorne Boulevard and Palos Verdes Drive North downs power lines and leaves some residents in Rancho Palos Verdes and Rolling Hills Estates without service.
Some residents in Rancho Palos Verdes and Rolling Hills Estates were left in the dark this morning after near Hawthorne Boulevard and Palos Verdes Drive North downed power lines in the area.
Southern California Edison crews are still working on repairs and power should be restored to the 131 customers without service by about 2 p.m., Edison officials said.
The damage is a "huge safety hazard," Edison officials said, and roads remain closed in the area. Hawthorne Boulevard is currently closed in both directions between Silver Spur Road and Palos Verdes Drive North.
