Thieves Get Aggressive, Smashing Windows, Bending Door Frames

Between Feb. 28 and March 1, someone smashed the window of a vehicle parked in the 6500 block of Seacove Drive. Stolen was a laser scanner and a tripod.
Between 8-10:45 a.m. Feb. 28, someone bent the front door frame of a house in the 1800 block of Delasonde Drive. Although nothing was taken, deputies believe the door frame was damaged in an attempted burglary.
Between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. Feb. 28, a thief smashed the kitchen window in the 27800 block of Montereina Drive to gain access to the house. Stolen were a woman’s opal ring with blue diamonds and a woman’s ruby ring.
