RPV Teen Arrested in Fatal Freeway Crash

Rancho Palos Verdes woman, 18, arrested Friday on suspicion of vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated.

An 18-year-old woman from Rancho Palos Verdes was arrested on suspicion of vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated in a car crash that killed a Paramount woman early Friday morning.

Dadream Patrice Thomas, 28, was driving a 2007 Dodge Intrepid on the southbound Harbor (110) Freeway, near the Glenn Anderson (105) Freeway, when the vehicle crashed about 4:20 a.m. Friday and she was thrown from her vehicle, California Highway Patrol Officer Patrick Kimball said.

About one minute later, a Honda being driven about 65 mph by the 18-year-old motorist from Rancho Palos Verdes struck the Dodge, "due to (the suspect's) level of intoxication and unsafe speed," the CHP reported.
