Rolling Hills Road Narrowed for Hydrant Installation

A stretch of Rolling Hills Road in Torrance near the Rolling Hills Estates border will be narrowed early next week.

A small stretch of Rolling Hills Road in Torrance near the Rolling Hills Estates border will be narrowed to two lanes—one in each direction—Monday and Tuesday from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. to complete the installation of a new fire hydrant, according to an alert from the Torrance Police Department.

The stretch of road, which is on the same side of the street as the Ralphs grocery store and strip mall near the corner of Rolling Hills Road and Crenshaw Boulevard, was narrowed to two lanes on Thursday and Friday.

The contractor must lay pipes across four lanes of traffic and the median to complete installation.
