RPV Blotter: Golf Clubs, Motorcycles Stolen

The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department Lomita Station supplied this information on crime in Rancho Palos Verdes.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department Lomita Station reported the following crimes and arrests in Rancho Palos Verdes for the week spanning Oct. 27 through Nov. 2.

One person was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence.

Oct. 26-27; 2200 block of Rue Le Charlene

A pair of Serengeti sunglasses, a pair of Bushell binoculars, a folding knife and $20 in quarters were stolen from a locked vehicle.

Oct. 28; 2200 block of Rue Le Charlene
The rear cargo cover and a gas cap were stolen from a locked vehicle.

Vehicle and residential burglary

Oct. 28-29; 3800 block of El Tesoro Place
Someone stole a California Crusader garage door opener from an unlocked vehicle and used it to enter a garage. The thief stole a Chelo Europa 21-speed bicycle from the garage.

Petty theft from unlocked vehicle and grand theft

Oct. 28-29; 5900 block of Armaga Springs Road
Two bags of used clothing and a pair of reading glasses were stolen from an unlocked vehicle. The thief also took a 2013 set of Nike golf clubs—a putter, wedge, driver and iron—in a black and red Nike golf bag; a 2009 Taylor Made putter; and a Nike driver, iron and blue golf bag.

Petty theft

Oct. 28-29; 6400 block of Via de Anzar
A Prada handbag and wallet, Le Sport Sac coin purse and small handbag, a California driver's license, Macy's gift cards worth a total of $150 and a black 120-gigabyte iPod were stolen from an unlocked vehicle.

Oct. 29; 28200 block of Seamount Drive
A 2013 Mech toolbox with 140 pieces inside, a 7-foot fishing pole with a Shimano reel, a Craftsman 40-piece toolset, a handicap placard and a Genie garage remote were stolen from an unlocked vehicle.

Oct. 29-30; 3400 block of Coolheights Drive
Someone stole the vehicle registration, a proof of insurance form, $2 in coins and a Jeep Cherokee owner's manual from an unlocked vehicle.

Oct. 29-30; 3300 block of Seaclaire Drive
A silver multipurpose tool and a Lift Master garage door opener were stolen from an unlocked vehicle.

Commercial burglary

Oct. 28-29; 29100 block of Western Avenue
Someone pried the rear door of a business using an unknown tool. No loss was reported. In a related incident, someone tried to pry the rear door using an unknown tool, but the attempt was unsuccessful.

Grand theft auto

Oct. 29; 28100 block of Peacock Ridge Drive
A blue 2008 Suzuki Hayabusa motorcycle was stolen from a parking structure.

Oct. 29-30; 28100 block of Peacock Ridge Drive
A yellow and black 2004 Suzuki GSX-R750 motorcycle was stolen from a parking structure.
