Palos Verdes Estates Woman's Death Ruled Accidental

The woman died from taking multiple medications at the same time, according to a Daily Breeze report.

A Palos Verdes Estates woman's death has been ruled accidental after coroner's officials determined she had taken a number of prescription drugs at the same time, according to a Daily Breeze report.

Brittany van der Goes, 18, at a friend's home in Rancho Palos Verdes, died from an "accidental medication intake," according to the article.

"The toxicology report listed a number of prescription drugs, including tizanidine, a muscle relaxer for victims of multiple sclerosis; oxymorphone, a pain reliever; and Xanax, an anti-anxiety medication. The report said ibuprofen and marijuana also were in her system," The Daily Breeze reported.

Van der Goes' body was found Nov. 4 in the 1900 block of MacArthur Street.
