The Palos Verdes Estates Police Department reported the following crimes and arrests in Palos Verdes Estates for the week spanning Oct. 29 through Nov. 4.

Warrant arrests

Oct. 29, 11:32 a.m.; 2700 block of Palos Verdes Drive West
An officer conducted a traffic stop and arrested the driver on suspicion of driving on a suspended license and eight outstanding warrants. A passenger in the vehicle was also arrested on an outstanding warrant.

Nov. 3, 8 a.m.; 300 block of Palos Verdes Drive West
An officer conducted a traffic stop and arrested the driver on suspicion of driving with a license suspended for driving under the influence and an outstanding warrant. A passenger in the vehicle was arrested on seven outstanding warrants.

Nov. 3, 11:40 a.m.; 300 block of Palos Verdes Drive West
A man who told police that he had an outstanding warrant was arrested.

Drunken driving

Oct. 31, 1:25 a.m.; intersection of Palos Verdes Boulevard and Calle Mayor
An officer conducted a traffic stop and arrested the driver on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol and on suspicion of violating a requirement to have an ignition interlock device.

Nov. 2, 11 p.m.; intersection of Via Acalones and Via Guadalana
An officer conducted a traffic stop and arrested the driver on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol and child endangerment.

Attempted residential burglary

Nov. 1, 7:10 a.m.; 2700 block of Via Campesina
A man tried to enter a single family home through a locked rear sliding glass door; however, a resident confronted him, and he fled.

Vandalism

Nov 1; Lunada Canyon near Paseo Lunado and Via Rivera
Someone removed a manhole cover and filled the manhole with rocks and debris, which clogged the pipes and caused sewage flooding. Repairing the damage cost about $10,000.

Vehicle burglary

Nov. 2; 3600 block of Via Palamino
Someone smashed the driver's side front window of a vehicle parked in a driveway and stole an iPhone.

Fish and Game violation

Nov. 2, 11:50 p.m.; 2200 block of Paseo del Mar
An officer cited one person on suspicion of possessing an undersized lobster.

Burglary or peeping

Nov. 3, 1 a.m.; 700 block of Cloyden Road
Someone entered a residence's second-story living room doors from a balcony. When a neighbor turned a light on to investigate, the intruder fled.

Fire

Nov. 3, 2:09 p.m.; intersection of Paseo del Mar and Paseo Lunado
An officer was dispatched to the scene after receiving a report of a fire, and upon arrival, the officer saw smoke and flames in the brush below. The Los Angeles County Fire Department's Station 2 responded and extinguished the fire.
