The Palos Verdes Estates Police Department reported the following crimes and arrests in Palos Verdes Estates for the weeks spanning Nov. 19-25 and Dec. 3-9.

Burglary arrest

Dec. 5; Torrance
PVE police arrested the person suspected of burglarizing a home in the 3000 block of Paseo del Campo after receiving the results of a DNA inquiry.

Commercial burglaries

Nov. 19; Malaga Cove Plaza
Between 7 p.m. Nov. 18 and 9 a.m. Nov. 19, someone removed the brass mailbox covers from multiple businesses to gain entry into the businesses. Miscellaneous property was stolen.

Nov. 19; 2500 block of Via Tejon
Between 5 p.m. Nov. 18 and 7:50 a.m. Nov. 19, someone entered locked businesses and stole miscellaneous property and food.

Drunk drivers

Nov. 19, 2:06 a.m.; Palos Verdes Boulevard at Catalina Avenue
An officer conducted a traffic stop and arrested the driver on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol.

Nov. 20, 2:14 a.m.; 200 block of Palos Verdes Drive West
An officer conducted a traffic stop and arrested the driver on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol.

Nov. 24, 3:50 p.m.; 2900 block of Palos Verdes Drive West
An officer conducted a traffic stop and arrested the driver on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol.

Dec. 7, 2:42 a.m.; Intersection of Yarmouith Road and Palos Verdes Drive West
An officer conducted a traffic stop and arrested the driver on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol.

Dec. 8, 4:14 a.m.; 300 block of Via Almar
An officer conducted a traffic stop and arrested the driver on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol and driving with a suspended license.

Nov. 21, 4:51 p.m.; Intersection of Silver Spur Road and Palos Verdes Drive North
An officer conducted a traffic stop and arrested the driver on an outstanding warrant.

Dec. 5, 10:40 a.m.; 2900 block of Palos Verdes Drive West
An officer conducted a traffic stop and arrested a passenger on an outstanding warrant.

Dec. 8; 100 block of Paseo de la Concho, Redondo Beach
Officers arrested a suspect on an outstanding PVEPD warrant.

Dec. 8; 1100 block of Ford Avenue, Redondo Beach
Officers arrested a suspect on an outstanding PVEPD warrant.

Drugs

Nov. 21, 9:51 p.m.; 800 block of Paseo del Mar
Officers investigating a parking violation arrested two occupants on suspicion of possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a controlled substance.

Nov. 24, 9:52 p.m.; 1600 block of Paseo del Mar
An officer investigating a parking violation arrested one occupant on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Traffic offense

Nov. 22, 1:54 p.m.; Via Cerritos at Paseo la Cresta
An officer conducted a traffic stop and arrested the driver on suspicion of driving on a suspended license and possession of a butterfly knife, as well as an outstanding warrant.

Nov. 25, 3:58 a.m.; 300 block of Palos Verdes Drive West
An officer conducted a traffic stop and arrested the driver on suspicion of driving on a suspended license and possession of stolen property. A passenger was also arrested on suspicion of possession of stolen property.

Nov. 25, 10:07 p.m.; 700 block of Via del Monte
An officer conducted a traffic stop on a bicyclist and arrested the subject on suspicion of possession of marijuana and possession of concentrated cannabis.

Identity theft

Dec. 3; 3000 block of Via Buena
Someone used a victim's name, Social Security number and date of birth to open a Southern California Gas Co. account.

Dec. 6; unknown
Someone filed a fraudulent tax return and obtained a tax refund check using the victim's name and Social Security number.

Vandalism

Dec. 4; 1200 block of Granvia Altamira
Someone hit a metal mailbox, denting it. The culprit fled.

Theft

Dec. 5, 11:10 a.m.; 4000 block of Via Pavion
Security cameras show a man and a woman stealing mail from a curbside mailbox before driving off in a 1990s red Nissan.

Dec. 7; 700 block of Via del Monte
Someone took outgoing mail from a curbside mailbox.
