Palos Verdes Estates Crime: Illegal Lobsters
The following information on Palos Verdes Estates crime was supplied by the Palos Verdes Estates Police Department.
The had a busy week between July 31 and Tuesday, with four arrests on suspicion of driving under the influence, two citations for Fish and Game violations, two arrests on outstanding warrants and one arrest on suspicion of driving with a suspended license. In addition, officers investigated a case of identity theft.
Identity theft
July 31; 100 block of Via Nogales
Somehow, someone obtained a victim's personal information and activated a checking account in the victim's name without permission.
Fish and game violations
12:50 p.m. Aug. 1; Via Arroyo and Via Almar
An officer conducted a traffic stop and issued a misdemeanor citation to the driver for unlawful possession of a lobster.

11:50 p.m. Aug. 1; 600 block of Palos Verdes Boulevard

1:10 a.m. Aug. 6; intersection of Via Rosa and Rosita Place
An officer conducted a traffic stop and arrested the driver on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol.
Warrant arrests
10:35 p.m., Aug. 2; 3100 block of Palos Verdes Drive North
An officer stopped someone for a municipal code violation and arrested him on two outstanding misdemeanor warrants.
3:55 p.m., Aug. 4; 2800 block of Palos Verdes Drive West.
An officer conducted a traffic stop and arrested the driver on an outstanding misdemeanor warrant.
Traffic offense
1:25 p.m., Aug. 4; intersection of Palos Verdes Drive North and Silver Spur Road
An officer conducted a traffic stop and issued a misdemeanor citation for driving on a suspended license.
