Palos Verdes Crime: Stolen Tecate, Chips

The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department and Palos Verdes Estates Police Department supplied this information on crime in Rancho Palos Verdes, Rolling Hills Estates, Rolling Hills, Westfield and Palos Verdes Estates.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department Lomita Station reported the following crimes and arrests in Rancho Palos Verdes, Rolling Hills, Rolling Hills Estates and Westfield for the week spanning April 21-27. The Palos Verdes Estates Police Department reported the following crimes and arrests in Palos Verdes Estates for the week spanning April 23 through last Monday.

Rancho Palos Verdes

One person was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence; four people were arrested on suspicion of burglary or receiving stolen goods; and one individual was arrested on suspicion of domestic violence.

April 25, 2:05 p.m.; 29400 block of Western Avenue
Police have identified two people who officers believe stole Tecate beer and potato chips from a store on Western Avenue.

April 21; 29100 block of Western Avenue
Police have a suspect in the theft of a bottle of El Jimador tequila and a bottle of Jack Daniels whiskey from a store.

April 22; 27500 block of Western Avenue
A thief described as a very thin male Hispanic in his 20s, 5 foot 3 inches in height with brown hair was seen taking an white iPhone and turquoise case.

April 22-23; 6800 block of Vallon Drive
Someone took $25 in cash.

Petty Theft (Unlocked Vehicle)

April 20-21; 29400 block of Indian Valley Road
Someone entered an unlocked vehicle and took $50 from it.

April 21-22; 6700 block of Vallon Drive
A theif entered an unlocked vehicle and took a Garmin GPS from inside.

April 21-22; 6800 block of Vallon Drive
Someone entered an unlocked vehicle parked in a driveway and took a Swiss Army knife and a skateboard.

April 25-25; 26500 block of Mazur Drive
A 5-foot-tall, 110- to 125-pound, blond white female was spotted pulling on door handles and allegedly entered an unlocked vehicle and took a Tom Tom GPS and two beach towels.

April 25-26; 28300 block of San Nicolas
Someone entered an unlocked vehicle and took a Panasonic digital camera, $40 in cash, a Leatherman tool and a Garmin GPS.

April 27; 26800 block of Springcreek Road
Someone entered an unlocked vehicle through the drivers side door and took a pair of BCBG womens pants, an Ann Taylor shirt and a iPhone 4 with charger.

Vehicle Burglary

April 21-22; 6500 block of Ocean Crest Drive
A burglar stole an Apple iPod, Guess sunglasses and Coach sunglasses from a vehicle.

April 21-22; 6500 block of Ocean Crest Drive
Someone broke into a vehicle and took a Garmin GPS, a pair of sunglasses and a checkbook.

April 23-24; 7300 block of Via Marie Celeste
Someone smashed a car window with a rock and took a laptop and Oakley sunglasses.

Residential Burglary

April 24; 27300 block of Warrior Drive
Someone pried open a window to a home and took two laptops, a 50-inch television, a Japanese passport and Japanese currency.

April 25; 5500 block of Shorview Drive
Someone removed the screen to a bathroom window of a home, entered the residence and took $125 in cash and credit cards.

Commercial Burglary

April 21; 29400 block of Western Avenue
Someone broke into a business and took a carpet stretcher, an extension kit and red air compressor from the business.

Grand Theft

April 23-24; Fruit Tree Lane
An unknown person or persons took three sets of circuit breakers and 14 sets of single pole circuit breakers.

April 23-24; 32400 block of Conqueror Drive
Someone took a 14K gold watch, a white gold medallion with peace sign in the middle and a Cadillac key with the U.S. quarter coin in the center from an unlocked vehicle.

Grand Theft Auto

April 25; 6500 block of Via Colinita
Someone stole a 1990 yellow Toyota Tacoma pickup truck. The vehicle was later recovered.

Grand Theft (Firearm)

April 25-26; 26500 block of Mazur Drive
Police have identified two people accused of stealing a Sig Sauer firearm, empty gun magazine, women's sunglasses and a pair of men's sunglasses from an unlocked vehicle.

Palos Verdes Estates

Burglary

April 23; 1800 block of Via Coronel
Sometime between April 19 and 7 a.m. on April 22, someone entered a locked construction site with a key and removed tools from the site before fleeing.

April 29; 700 block of Via Horcada
An unknown person or persons entered a construction site by unknown means and took various power tools before fleeing undetected.

Possession of Concentrated Cannabis

April 24, 2:55 a.m.; Intersection of Palos Verdes Drive North and Via Campesina
During a traffic stop, an officer arrested the driver of the vehicle on suspicion of possession of concentrated cannabis.

Vehicle Burglary

April 25; 700 block of Yarmouth Road
At some point between noon and 1 p.m., someone entered the unlocked bed of a pickup truck and took pipe fittings before fleeing in an unknown direction.

Possession of a Concealed Weapon

April 26, 12:06 a.m.; 3600 block of Paseo Del Campo
During a traffic stop, an officer arrested the driver and the passenger on suspicion of carrying a concealed and loaded firearm in a public place. Another passenger was arrested on suspicion of violating his terms of post-release community supervision.

Possession of Stolen Property

April 27, 10:58 a.m.; 500 block of Palos Verdes Drive West
Officers made contact with a pedestrian and arrested him on suspicion of possession of stolen property.

Possession of Drugs/Paraphernalia

April 29, 12:39 a.m.; 2500 block of Paseo Del Mar
While contacting the occupants of an illegally parked vehicle, officers arrested the driver on suspicion of possession of methamphetamine, concentrated cannabis and smoking paraphernalia.

Resisting a Peace Officer/Carrying Concealed Weapon/Drugs

April 29, 1:58 a.m.; 800 block of Paseo Del Mar
While investigating a parking violation and detaining one of the occupants of the vehicle, another suspect ran away from officers, police said. Officers later found the person, and upon further investigation, found a loaded weapon. Officers then arrested both suspects on suspicion of carrying a concealed and loaded firearm in a vehicle. The owner of the vehicle was also arrested on suspicion of possession of methamphetamine.

Warrant Arrest

April 29, 1:30 p.m.; El Camino College
Palos Verdes Estates police officers were dispatched to El Camino College for a misdemeanor warrant pickup.

Identity Theft

April 29; 300 block of Palos Verdes Drive West
An unknown person obtained a victim's personal information through unknown means and used that information to obtain seven different credit cards and apply for three others. Purchases were also made using the fraudulent credit cards.

Rolling Hills Estates

No arrests were reported during this time period.

Petty Theft

April 24; 500 block of Deep Valley Drive
Somone entered an unlocked locked and took an XOXO wallet, drivers license, social security card, U.S. passport, credit cards and $10 in cash.

Vehicle Burglary

April 27-28; Ranchview Road
Somone entered a vehicle through the front driver side door and took $100 in cash.

Rolling Hills

No crimes or arrests were reported during this period.

Westfield

No crimes or arrests were reported during this period.
