The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department and Palos Verdes Estates Police Department supplied this information on crime in Rancho Palos Verdes, Rolling Hills Estates, Rolling Hills, Westfield and Palos Verdes Estates.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department Lomita Station reported the following crimes and arrests in Rancho Palos Verdes, Rolling Hills, Rolling Hills Estates and Westfield for the week spanning March 24 through Saturday. The Palos Verdes Estates Police Department reported the following crimes and arrests in Palos Verdes Estates for the week spanning March 26 through last Monday.

Residential Burglary

March 13-24; 3200 block of Via Campesina
An unknown person or persons entered a residence through a sliding glass door and took a stainless steel Sarzedo refrigerator, stainless steel Viking stove, a couch, patio furniture and picture frames.

March 24-25; 27100 block of Woodbrook Road
Someone smashed the sliding glass door of a home and took an iPad from the residence.

March 26; 2900 block of Crownview Drive
An unknown person smashed the rear glass door of a residence but did not take anything from the home.

Burglary

March 26, 10:30 a.m.; 30000 block of Hawthorne Boulevard
A known suspect allegedly entered an open business and took 10 bottles of Grey Goose vodka from the store without paying for them.

Attempted Burglary

March 28; 6600 block of Monero Drive
Someone tried to forcibly open a sliding glass door to a home by removing it from its track but was unsuccessful.

Palos Verdes Estates

One person was arrested on an outstanding warrant, on suspicion of possession of marijuana for sale and alleged vandalism; and two individuals were arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol.

Drugs

March 27, 11:45 a.m.; Intersection of Via Rivera and Via Zumaya
During a traffic stop, officers arrested the driver of the vehicle on suspicion of possession of marijuana for sale, vandalism and a misdemeanor warrant.

Vandalism

March 27, 500 block of Paseo Lunado
Sometime between 1 p.m. on March 22 and 1:50 p.m. on March 27, someone damaged a play house in the play area of Lunada Bay Elementary Kindergarten and marked a locker with graffiti.

Driving Under the Influence

March 28, 1:30 a.m.; 800 block of Palos Verdes Drive West
During a traffic stop, officers arrested the driver of the vehicle on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol.

Traffic Offense

March 20, 11:28 a.m.; 1200 block of Palos Verdes Drive West
During a traffic stop, officers arrested the driver on suspicion of driving with a suspended license.

March 30, 4:34 a.m.; 3100 block of Palos Verdes Drive West
During a traffic stop, officers arrested the driver on suspicion of driving with a suspended license.

Hit and Run

March 28, 2600 block of Via Campesina
Someone struck a legally parked car on the rear driver's side section with a motorcycle and then allegedly fled the scene without leaving information or notifying law enforcement of the collision.

Identity Theft

April 1; Montemalaga Plaza
Someone obtained a victim's credit card information and used it to make purchases. The victim also discovered that the unknown person also used his/her information to file IRS paperwork.

April 1; 300 block of Palos Verdes Drive West
Someone fraudulently forged a victim's signature to complete a cash withdrawal without the victim's knowledge or consent.

One person was arrested on suspicion of disorderly conduct.

Petty Theft

March 24, 5:20 p.m.; 800 block of Silver Spur Road
A known suspect allegedly took two bottles of Patron tequila from a store without paying for them.

Westfield

No crimes or arrests occurred during this period.

Rolling Hills

No crimes or arrests occurred during this period.
