The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department and Palos Verdes Estates Police Department supplied this information on crime in Rancho Palos Verdes, Rolling Hills Estates, Rolling Hills, Westfield and Palos Verdes Estates.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department Lomita Station reported the following crimes and arrests in Rancho Palos Verdes, Rolling Hills, Rolling Hills Estates and Westfield for the week spanning April 28 - May 4. The Palos Verdes Estates Police Department reported the following crimes and arrests in Palos Verdes Estates for the week spanning April 30 through last Monday.

Palos Verdes Estates

Juvenile Problem

May 2, 1:00 p.m.; 600 block of Cloyden Road
An officer was dispatched to Palos Verdes High School in reference to a student who brought a knife on campus. The student was placed under arrest on suspicion of possession of a stabbing devise on school grounds.

Burglary

April 29; 1700 block of Palos Verdes Drive West
Someone smashed a side window of a home to gain entrance to the residence and take miscellaneous property before leaving through a rear sliding glass door.

April 30; 1800 block of Paseo Del Sol
An unknown person or persons cut a chain link fence to enter a property and take various power tools.

Warrant Arrest

May 1, 8:42 a.m.; Intersection of Via Montemar and Via Del Monte
During a traffic stop, an officer arrested the driver of the vehicle on an outstanding misdemeanor warrant.

May 1, 9:13 p.m.; 2100 block of Paseo Del Mar
While investigatin ga suspicious vehicle, officers arrested the passenger of the car on three outstanding misdemeanor warrants.

May 5, 5:24 a.m.; 300 block of Palos Verdes Drive West
PVEPD was dispatched to LAPD for a warrant pickup.

Vehicle Theft

May 1; 300 block of Paseo Del Mar
At some point between 9:15 a.m and 12 p.m., someone smashed the passenger side window of a car with an unknown object and fled with property from the vehicle.

Attempted Vehicle Burglary

May 1; 500 block of Via Del Monte
Someone attempted to smash the passenger side window of a vehicle before fleeing in an unknown direction.

Driving Under the Influence

May 2, 1:38 a.m.; 2500 block of Palos Verdes Drive North
During a traffic stop, officers arrested the driver of the vehicle on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol.

May 5, 1:33 a.m.; 1500 block of Palos Verdes Drive West
During a traffic stop, officers arrested the driver of the vehicle on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol.

Possession of a Controlled Substance

May 2, 11:13 p.m.; 1700 block of Paseo Del Mar
While investigating an illegally parked car, officers arrested the driver on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance and the passenger on outstanding warrants.

Theft of Access Card

May 2; 1600 block of Espinosa Circle
Between April 29 and May 2, a possible named suspect allegedly took a victim's credit card by unknown means and used it to purchase goods and services without the victim's permission.

Vandalism

May 3; 1400 block of Via Coronel
At some point betwen April 27 and April 28, someone used an unknown object to scratch the side of two vehicles parked in a driveway.

May 6; 2700 block of Via Campesina
Someone broke a window with an unknown object and then fled in an unknown direction.

Traffic Offense

May 3, 9:45 p.m.; 1700 block of Paseo Del Mar
While conducting a traffic stop, officers cited the under 21 driver of the vehicle for allegedly having an open alcoholic container his vehicle and allowing passengers under the age of 20 in his car.

May 4, 3:01 a.m.; Intersection of Palos Verdes Drive West and Paseo Lunado
During a traffic stop, the driver of the vehicle was arrested on suspicion of driving with a suspended or revoked license.

May 4, 2:57 p.m.; 200 block of Palos Verdes Drive West
While stopping a vehicle with a misdemanor warrant attached to it, officers cited the driver of the vehicle for allegedly driving on a suspended license.

Rancho Palos Verdes

One person was arrested on suspicion of disorderly conduct; one person on suspicion of domestic violence; and one person on suspicion of burglary.

Residential Burglary

April 22-April 28; 5300 block of Littlebow Road
Someone kicked in and pushed off the wood frame to a sliding glass door of a home, gained entry to the residence but did not take anything as the lot was vacant.

April 30-May 1; 6600 block of Via Colinita
Someone took a garage door opener from an unlocked vehicle then used it to open the garage of a home. The person or persons then took a leather wallet, drivers license, credit cards and $200 from two vehicles parked inside the home's garage.

May 3-4; 3700 block of Vigilance Drive
Someone entered a home through a rear unlocked dining room window and proceeded to take a LG 42-inch television from the home.

Vehicle Burglary

April 29-30; 6500 block of Ocean Crest Drive
Someone took a wallet, credit cards, golf bag and clubs, $600 in cash and three jackets from a vehicle.

April 30-May 1; 6500 block of Ocean Crest Drive
Somene broke into a vehicle and took Rayban sunglasses and a garage door remote.

Petty Theft

April 30, 11:20 a.m.; 28500 block of Western Avenue
Three known suspects allegedly stole three bottles of Patron Resposado tequila, three bottles of Patron Silver tequila and two bottles of Don Julio tequila from a store.

May 3-4; 5000 block of Golden Arrow Drive
Someone entered an unlocked vehicle and took sunglasses and a garage door opener.

May 3-4; 27800 block of Longhill Drive
Someone entered an unlocked vehicle and took an iPod and sunglasses.

May 4; 5100 block of Silver Arrow Road
Someone gained access to an unlocked vehicle and took a cell phone, Skill Saw, drill bits and a drill from the car.

May 3-4; 5000 block of Golden Arrow Drive
Someone entered an unlocked vehicle and took a purse from it.

Grand Theft Auto

May 1, 12:21 p.m.; 2000 block of Van Karijan Drive
An unknown person stole a 2004 white four-door Ford F-350 truck.

Rolling Hills Estates

No arrests were reported during this time period.

Grant Theft Auto

April 29, 4:58 a.m.; Encanto Drive
A known suspect allegedly stole a 2004 white Toyota Sienna minivan along with a cell phone. The suspect is described as a female wearing a dark hoodie, slim fitting jeans and a small backpack.

Burglary

April 29, 2:05 p.m.; Peninsula Center
A suspect was arrested after allegedly taking miscellaneous food and hygiene products from a store in the Peninsula Center.

Rolling Hills

No crimes or arrests were reported during this period.

Westfield

No crimes or arrests were reported during this period.
