Palos Verdes Crime: Dogs Fighting

The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department and Palos Verdes Estates Police Department supplied this information on crime in Rancho Palos Verdes, Rolling Hills Estates, Rolling Hills, Westfield and Palos Verdes Estates.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department Lomita Station reported the following crimes and arrests in Rancho Palos Verdes, Rolling Hills, Rolling Hills Estates and Westfield for the week spanning March 31 through Saturday. The Palos Verdes Estates Police Department reported the following crimes and arrests in Palos Verdes Estates for the week spanning April 2 through last Monday.

Palos Verdes Estates

One person was arrested on suspicion of violating a restraining order, one person was arrested for allegedly driving without a license and one individual was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol.

April 4, 7:15 p.m.; 100 block of Via Alameda
While walking their dog along Via Alameda, residents saw three other dogs suddenly run from their owner. The three dogs began attacking the residents' dog. Persons involved did not suffer any injuries.

April 2; 2700 block of Via Victoria
Someone obtained a victim's credit and debit account information and used it to make numerous fraudulent charges for goods and services.

Driving Under the Influence

April 4, 2:17 a.m.; 100 block of Palos Verdes Drive West
During a traffic stop, officers arrested the driver of the vehicle on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol.

Violation of Restraining Order

April 2, 4:31 p.m.; 1300 block of Paseo Del Mar
Officers conducting a traffic stop arrested an individual in the vehicle for allegedly violating a restraining order

Threat

April 4; 2100 block of Via Olivera
A juvenile subject allegedly made a threat against a fellow student, prompting officers to respond to the incident.

Traffic Offense

April 4, 7:30 a.m.; 1300 block of Palos Verdes Drive West
During a traffic stop, officers arrested the driver of the vehicle for allegedly driving without a license.

Forgery

April 5; 2200 block of Via Guadalana
Someone obtained a victims mortgage refund check by unknown means, forged the check and deposited it electronically to a bank.

Rancho Palos Verdes

One person was arrested for alleged tampering and one individual was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol.

Residential Burglary

April 1, 6:33 a.m.; 4300 block of Dauntless Drive
Three suspects described as Hispanic males between 25 and 35 years of age allegedly kicked in a garage door of a home but did not get away with any property.

April 3; 28100 block of Highridge Road
A suspect allegedly removed a sliding glass door to a balcony of a home, entered the residence and took a gray suitcase, safe, old credit cards and a Macbook laptop. Suspect is described as a Hispanic male, 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighing between 160 and 170 pounds.

Grand Theft

April 3; 5:40 p.m.; 6400 block of Vista Pacifica
Someone took $4,000 in cash and car keys. No further information was provided by police.

Rolling Hills Estates

One person was arrested on drug charges.

Grand Theft

March 22-31; 26800 block of Rolling Hills Road
A named suspect allegedly stole eight plastic tote trays, a shoe lacing wood frame and miscellaneous Practical Life classroom materials.

Burglary

April 6; 3000 block of Palos Verdes Drive North
Someone used a pry tool to break into a vehicle through the front passenger window and took a purse, wallet with credit cards, cash and a driver's license.

Westfield

No crimes or arrests occurred during this period.

Rolling Hills

No crimes or arrests occurred during this period.
